Directions:
Mazembe Village is located in Nkhata Bay District, off the Lakeshore road midway between Matete roadblock and Kande (about 2.5 km from each). At the signpost "Mazembe Village" on the main road, follow the signs to the Lake, or call for a local guide.
The community of Mazembe has created a traditional grass-topped cottage and simple facilities to offer a unique experience of village life in Malawi. A tranquil alternative to resort accommodations, the cottages are secluded and basic, comfortable and charming.
Privately situated under an umbrella of Mango (Yembe) trees on the edge of Lake Malawi, the sandy beaches and warm waters invite you to lounge and plunge. Light and spacious, the cottage
has a sitting room and two bedrooms, one with a double bed, one with
two singles. Linen and lanterns are provided, and breakfast is
included. Or bring your tent - there is plenty of space to camp. So
treat yourself to a quiet weekend or week long retreat with us on the
picturesque shores of Lake Malawi.
